By default, the fees for tickets will be in addition to the ticket price, displayed in the cart, and paid by the customer at checkout. Our Absorb Fees option allows event hosts to set the ticket price customers will pay, and the host organization will absorb the cost of the fees.
How it works
Absorb Fees can be enabled for an event in the Ticket Settings. When it is enabled, the tickets will show the ticket buyer total and the cost of the fees. In the case of a $10 ticket, $2.20 in fees will be paid to our system from the $10 paid by the ticket buyer. So, for a $10 ticket, the organization will earn $7.80 in ticket revenue.
