If you are posting your event using an ad on Facebook and would like to know how many customers are buying tickets from that ad then a Facebook Pixel is the tool for the job. You can create a pixel that will track how many times users go from your Facebook ads will to your event page and then purchase tickets. This is done by tracking whether or not the user loads the event and checkout pages.
1. Start by navigating to the Facebook Events Manager page. Look for the Data Sources section or use the search option to search for Pixel. In the image below, the option was on the main page with a button to “Get Started" creating a pixel.
2. Give the pixel a name and select "Continue".
3. You should be offered an option on how to get the code from Facebook to the site. Two options may work. You can select the "Manual" option to copy and paste the code into an email to us, or you may have Facebook email the code directly to us.
If you elect to copy the code and send it to us on your own, send the email to support with your organization name in the subject line.
If you elect for Facebook to send the pixel code on your behalf, then enter the email address for our support and scroll to the bottom of the premade email and select "Send". It is recommended that you follow up with your own email to support with your organization name in the subject line to ensure that our team knows the proper location on our site to add the code.
