Notifications allow users to receive emails when specific actions are performed in the system. Each user has their own notification preferences that can be edited by system Admin users.
To set and configure your notification preferences:
- Use the navigation menu to go to "Settings"
- Click on "Users"
- Select the user to see their notification settings.
If you are an admin user, you can manage other users' notifications. From the Users list, select the user whose preferences you would like to edit. From the user page (image below) you can toggle on / off the notifications (#1) that you or the user you are editing would like to receive.
After selecting which notifications you wish to receive, you will be able to set your general Email Preferences (#2 in the image above). You may choose to either receive each notification Immediately or in a Digest format.
If Digest is selected, you will be presented with additional options.
1. Daily - receive a summary of notifications in a single email each morning.
2. Weekly - receive a summary of notifications in a single email each week.
By default, digests are sent to the email address associated with your user account but you can choose to specify a different email address for the digest to be delivered to in place of your own. Additionally, if you choose to receive digests Weekly, you can select which day of the week you would like to receive the digest.
At the end of each notification within a digest email notification, you will see a permalink. This link will allow you to view the contents of any specific notification whenever you wish!
