The Geotix Gate App is available in both the Apple App Store for iOS (iPhone and iPad) and in the Google Play Store (Android phones and tablets). The app is intended for use at the gate of an event for scanning tickets and processing new general admission orders.
The following improvements have been made with this recent update:
- Private events are now visible in the events list
- Ongoing events are now visible in the events list
- When a ticket is scanned there is an audible ping
- Users with Staff permission can process new orders
- Fixed login to allow users with more than one existing identity in the Geotix system
- When scanning, the text overlay has an added background to make it easier to read
- Refused logins for users with passwords that contain some special characters (@, ?, etc).
- Ticket inventories are incorrectly calculated for recurring events causing some events to be seen as sold out in the gate app. In these cases, ticket sales online and on administrator order pages in the web app will not be impacted. Contact support if this is happening and we can offer reasonable workarounds.
