You can provide complimentary (comp) or discounted tickets to sponsors. Promo codes are helpful for sponsors to select their own tickets or seats or tables on a floor plan. We have different ways in which this can be done. Reach out if you have more specific needs not listed below.
Promo Codes for Sponsors
If you would like sponsors to select their own tickets, then you can send them to your ticket sales page and give them a promo code. This code can be setup to be configured in a variety of ways including
- limiting it to specific ticket types or events.
- number of redemptions per code.
- discounting based on a dollar amount, percentage, or complimentary .
- number of codes in total that can be used.
- Start/End date and time that the code can be used.
More info about options for your promotion codes is here: Create a Promo Code.
The Code can then be redeemed by the customer during the buying process by selecting the desired tickets and simply applying the code before continuing to checkout.
Names on Tickets
Our system cannot place unique attendee names on tickets. You can collect attendee names for tickets using a registration form, but those names will only be accessible by staff via the registration report and the names will not be added to the printed or online versions of the tickets. The only name on a ticket will be the name used for the order.
Send Tickets to a Sponsor
If you would like to deliver select the tickets for your sponsors and send them via email, then you can process the order from your admin "Add Order" page. When you checkout you will need to enter a name and email and select "Comp" at the payment page. More info here (see step 10): Process an Order.
Holding Reserved Tickets
More info here: Holding and Releasing Seats (Events with Floor Plans)
It is possible to hold tickets so they can not be sold online and are reserved only for the organization to distribute. The best way to do this is to create a new ticket category specifically for these types of tickets and uncheck the "Sell Online" option for each ticket created in this category.
To create a "Hold" category, select "Add Category" and select the "Reserved" option. Then, add a ticket type in that new category and un-select the "Sell On-line" option and save the ticket.
Finally, go to the floor plan and select the seats you'd like to hold. Then categorize them with your new "Hold" ticket category. More info here: Assign Reserved Seating
These tickets will not be purchasable by the public and only available to the Ticketing Organization to process.
