You can copy or duplicate most events. You cannot copy a recurring or ongoing event. To duplicate an event, it must be a non-recurring single instance event. Here's how you can do it:
- Navigate to the Event: Go to your event list, click on the title of the event, or select the edit option to load the event's edit page.
- Use the Context Menu: Once on the edit page, find the context menu (three dots) next to the event's title. This menu should provide an option to duplicate the event.
Conditions for Duplication:
If these conditions are met, you should be able to duplicate the event successfully.
- The event cannot be ongoing or recurring, as only single event instances can be duplicated.
- The event must not contain deprecated features that are no longer supported, as this will prevent duplication.
- The user must be scoped into an organization to have access to the duplication feature.
Check your event after it is duplicated
If the event was based on an event created too long ago, then some features may not be available when duplicated which can cause critical failures and the event will not work. Please review your event after it is duplicated to ensure that all settings are still desired.
Here is a list of features that will not carry over to a new duplicate event:
- Event contacts
- Additional fees
- Registration from restrictions
- Early access code not connected to tickets
- The ticket description will be set to not show on e-tickets
- Any specific sales start/end will be converted to match the original date but will be set to "times before start" based on new event's start time
