Use this customer needs analysis to guide your initial sales demo. You may be able to answer some of these questions prior to your demo through a bit of research but having this conversation with the event creator is valuable!
These questions are just a start, you may find that you have additional questions along the way:
- How many tickets do you sell per each event you host?
- What is your event or venue's capacity?
- Do(es) your event(s) sell out? Or, how many tickets do you typically sell in advance?
- What do you like about your current ticketing software?
- What would you improve?
- How easy is it to communicate with your ticket buyers?
- What is your current checkout process like?
- What type of data are you able to collect?
- Do you offer ticket refunds or exchanges? Are you able to process these with your current ticketing software?
- Walk me through your day of event. What is your check in process like?
- Do you sell tickets at the door of your event? What ticketing software do you use for this?
- What type of reporting do you get?
- How much marketing support does your current provider offer?
